Our Ratings: Overall: This place has so much character and so much to offer, we loved it! Activities: Fantastic and crazy city—beachy fun, interesting sight seeing, and a good time in the rainforest. Go hang gliding for a real adrenaline rush. Challenge: Come on.. who really learns Portugese?? Good thing they know English! Some good hikes, but nothing too tough. Food: Hearty stews and meaty dishes. No breakfast food to be had, though. Everyone eats cheeseburgers. Lodging: We stayed in Leblon, next to Copacabana. Nice view of the beaches. Fun: Great people in a beautiful city. Steer clear of the favelas and you’ll have a blast.
