Our
Ratings:
Overall:
Barcelona is a must-see. We're not architecture experts, but there's some great looking buildings in this town!
Activities:
Go to the park, walk the Rambla, see the olympic statium and park, eat tapas, visit La Sagrada Familla...tons to do in this town.
Challenge:
Not really a challenging city, except for translating the menus if you don't know enough Espagnol. Bring a guidebook and you can steer yourself in the right direction. Driving is a bit tricky.
Food:
It's hard to find (especially on Sunday) but do your homework and you'll end up with great tapas and even better paella.
Lodging:
Expensive, so go for priceline and you could get a great deal (like we did). Our hotel was modern and close to the water...10 minutes from the metro.
Fun:
It's a city filled with fun and beauty. Beaches, nice walking areas and parks, and a good metro to get around. Lots to do.
